Topic of the Week
Title 24 is California's building standards code — the California Code of Regulations title that collects the state's building, residential, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, and green-building standards into one rulebook. Its Part 6 is the California Energy Code, the part that decides how a building's envelope, lighting, and mechanical systems must perform and what compliance paperwork has to prove it. Why it matters now: California's current Title 24 cycle is the live compliance question behind permit work across the state, and energy-code practice nationally is watched through it — architects, engineers, and owners working anywhere use the California framework to see where codes are heading. The Library's reference entry breaks down every part of Title 24, the compliance paths a project can take, and the paperwork trail a submittal has to carry, in plain language.

How to use this collection
These pages are national, general guidance. They explain useful questions and records without inventing local permit outcomes, county requirements, client records, or project pricing. Confirm the current jurisdiction, code edition, authority checklist, and responsible professional before relying on a page for a live project.
A consistent professional boundary
Apex Grid's public guidance does not replace a project proposal, site investigation, design analysis, permit review, inspection, or board decision. Scope, licensing, responsible charge, and deliverables are confirmed for each project.
