Structural Stamping Services

Apex Grid Engineering provides structural stamping services across 49 states and the District of Columbia — structural drawings and calculations reviewed in responsible charge by licensed structural engineers and sealed for permit. Foundations, floor and roof framing, lateral force-resisting systems, and connection details are engineered for each state's governing loads — wind, seismic, snow, expansive soils — with a traceable load path from roof to foundation on every sealed set. Veteran-owned, 10+ licensed professional engineers, and plan-check correction support included on every stamping scope.

Illustrative diagram of the professional engineer review and seal workflow: drawings are reviewed against a checklist, sealed by a licensed PE, and issued as a permit set.

What structural stamping covers

Foundation plans and details coordinated with the geotechnical report, floor and roof framing, the lateral force-resisting system, anchorage and connection details, and the sealed structural calculations behind them. The engineer of record confirms the load path is complete and traceable before anything is sealed — that continuity is the first thing a plan reviewer checks.

  • Foundation design with geotechnical coordination
  • Floor, roof, and lateral framing with connection details
  • Sealed calculations with a traceable load path
  • Plan-check correction responses on sealed sheets

Engineered for each state's governing loads

Structural stamping is never generic: Gulf Coast projects are engineered for hurricane wind, California and Pacific Northwest work for seismic, northern states for snow and frost, and expansive-clay regions for foundation movement. Each state page below details the local loads, soils, and plan-review expectations the sealed design answers to.

Review-and-seal, not stamp-for-hire

Apex Grid's structural engineers define the scope, review the design basis, and perform or verify the structural work before sealing. Drawings from other firms are sealed only after independent responsible-charge review — unverifiable structural documents are not sealed, and the project team is told exactly what is missing.

Licensed coverage: 49 states plus the District of Columbia

Apex Grid Engineering seals structural work in 49 states — every state except Alaska — plus the District of Columbia. Select the project state below for jurisdiction-specific structural requirements, governing loads, and plan-review detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What structural documents need a PE seal?
Commercial and multi-family structural drawings and calculations routinely require a licensed PE seal for permit, as does residential work that leaves the prescriptive path. The seal shows the engineer's name, license number, and date, with the engineer in responsible charge.
Can you seal structural drawings prepared by another firm?
Only after the engineer of record independently reviews the design basis and verifies or re-performs the structural work. Structural documents that cannot be verified to responsible-charge standards are not sealed.
Do you handle plan-check corrections on sealed sheets?
Yes — correction response is part of the stamping scope. The engineer of record answers structural plan-check comments with revised details, updated calculations, and re-sealed sheets as required.
