Engineering calculations are the technical record behind a defined decision: capacity, load, sizing, anchorage, drainage, utility, energy, or correction response. They should expose the input data, assumptions, criteria, methods, combinations, checks, and conclusions needed for review.
A correction response should quote the original issue, identify the changed document, and state the technical resolution without implying automatic approval.
The responsible engineer decides whether drawings, dimensions, field evidence, equipment data, survey, geotechnical information, or testing is sufficient. A calculation book cannot cure an unknown project scope or stand in for the authority's review.
